Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas is set to become a free agent at the end of this season when his current contract with the Blues expires. The 31-year-old joined the west London club in June 2014 and has since won two Premier League titles and an FA Cup whilst at Stamford Bridge.
However, the 110-cap Spain international has been usurped in the starting XI by the likes of Jorginho and Ross Barkley, and now appears to be surplus to requirements in Maurizio Sarri’s squad.
Whilst he may no longer have the legs to play every minute of the season, Fabregas would still be a wonderful player for most top clubs to pick up on a free transfer. Arsenal, in particular, would be wise to try and tempt the midfielder back to the Emirates Stadium.

Having made his senior debut for the Gunners as a 16-year-old in 2003, Fabregas went on to captain the club and became a talismanic figure in north London up until his departure for Barcelona in 2011.
The Spaniard recently stated that he would be open to a return to the Emirates, as reported by TalkSport.
Many Arsenal fans would certainly be glad to have him back, with 63% of those who voted in our poll urging Unai Emery to pick up the free Fabregas in the summer. See the full results below.
