Newcastle United saw their excellent English Premier League form stopped dead in its tracks on Sunday after Brighton & Hove Albion battled to a 1-0 win.
The travelling Magpies could not find a way to goal across the 90 minutes despite having a number of chances and Tomer Hemed’s effort early in the second half was enough to send the away fans home unhappy.
Two of those chances fell to striker Joselu, poking a shot wide from close range before also heading off target from a good position. It was a frustrating afternoon for the summer signing and he was eventually substituted midway through the second half.
Fans are now calling for him to be dropped for next week’s clash at home to Liverpool, believing he needs some time out of the team to find his goalscoring boots. He’s netted just once in five league appearances so far.
Supporters took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his performance…
