Lucas Digne’s impressive first campaign in English football saw him scoop Everton’s Fans’ Player of the Season award.
Indeed, on Tuesday night, Everton’s official Twitter account revealed that the Frenchman had picked up the accolade after a strong season.
It was somewhat of a surprise when the Toffees managed to land a player of Digne’s quality for £18m in last summer’s transfer window.
Unwanted by Spanish champions Barcelona, Digne has had an excellent campaign – contributing four goals and four assists in 35 Premier League appearances.
The full-back has been hailed by the Everton fans throughout the season.
