Liverpool are still joint-top of the league despite not winning any of their last four games in all competitions, but that isn’t to say that the Reds don’t have issues.

The performance in Naples last week was horrifically dull, as the lack of any creative spark in midfield left the front three fighting for scraps.

The display against Manchester City didn’t exactly set the world alight either, and fans have been eyeing up potential January moves to inject some life into midfield.

While a move for someone like Nabil Fekir or Hakim Ziyech would certainly be exciting, could the answer be right under Jürgen Klopp’s nose?

Lallana is well known as Klopp’s teacher’s pet amongst the Liverpool squad, and the hard-working midfielder has recently returned to full training.

While his end product has always been largely underwhelming, could he be the man to help unlock some chances from that advanced midfield role?

Many of the club’s stars will have played two international games when they return for the Huddersfield clash next week, so this is the perfect time to reintroduce Lallana.
