Per Tuttomercatoweb, Wolves are in danger of losing Nuno Santo with AC Milan considering him for their vacant managerial post.
What’s the word?
The Wolves boss has helped to completely reshape the way Wolves play. Languishing in mid-table during the 2016/17 season, the Midlands club looked a distinctly average outfit.
However, step forward Nuno. Since coming into the club, he’s helped them achieve promotion whilst also overseeing their return to European football for the first time since 1980, all while playing organised yet delightful football.
But they could now be at risk of seeing him leave Molineux. Tuttomercatoweb claim that AC Milan are considering an approach for the Portuguese tactician.
Milan sacked Gennaro Gattuso earlier this week so are on the hunt for a new manager.
Ten-year plan in danger
If Nuno leaves Wolves then Fosun’s ten-year plan for the club could be in grave danger. Their foundations have been built around the current manager since he came in so to see him leave could be disastrous.
Only this week, Executive Chairman Jeff Shi confirmed that the plan put in place when Fosun Group arrived in 2016 was still in operation.
In quotes per Express & Star, he said: “We are still on the way and we were very serious when we said that we are aiming to take the club to the highest level in the world within 10 years or so.”
Losing Nuno, therefore, would provide a real stumbling block for Wolves to get to that highest level that Shi has spoken about.
The current Wolves man is replaceable but there’s no guarantee whoever comes in would have the same effect. The 45-year-old has his methods set in stone and they’ve more than paid off.
The fact that there isn’t much left to improve upon sums up the hard work that’s gone into the club over the last couple of years.

Fosun’s ownership of Wolves is an impressive model but if their manager walked out of the door then their plans could be left in jeopardy.
They must do everything they can to ensure he stays at Molineux.
